Terrys of York

Terrys of York was a chocolate and confectionery maker in York, England. Its history stretched back to 1767, but in 1993 it was taken over by Kraft Foods. The company’s headquarters, later renamed The Chocolate Works factory, was closed by Kraft in 2005, and products using the Terry’s brand name are now produced in other Kraft facilities in Poland, Sweden, Belgium, and Slovakia. The Terry’s name eventually became part of Mondelēz International. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry%27s)

This domain was purchased in June 2014 having been previously owned by Terry Berry Photography, a portrait and wedding photographer, based in York. The aim and future use of this page will be to show an exhibition of those who worked at the Terry’s of York factory and the memories of the confectioners through a documentary photographic project which we aim to begin in 2018.
